Studi Pengaruh Iradiasi Gamma Terhadap Kadar Senyawa Bioaktif dan Aktivitas Antiinflamasi Jahe Merah (Zingiber officinale roscoe)

Background: In Indonesia, the use of herbal plants in overcoming several health problems shows a fairly high rate. Red ginger is one herbs that widely consumed and empirically has property relieving or reducing inflammation. However, as well known, general microbiological contamination quite high. To maintain quality plants, special treatment required, to ensure microbial within safe limits. This study aims determine effect gamma irradiation on number contamination, bioactive content 6,8,10-gingerol; 6-shogaol 70% ethanol extract red ginger, its activity an anti-inflammatory.
 Methodes: Samples were irradiated with various doses 0, 5, 7.5, 10 15 KGy. Microbiological determined Total Plate Number Yeast Mold Number. The compounds 6,8,10-gingerol was observed by performance liquid method their anti-inflammatory protein denaturation inhibition (BSA) method. Results: Gamma at KGy reduced exposure dose increased, did not affect levels activity. influenced compounds.
